JFK AMERICAN AIRLINES TERMINAL 8 TAXILANE EXTENSION PROJECT

JOADEM Corporation has been hired by American Airlines as a Class 1 agency to perform Special Inspections and Materials Testing for the JFK American Airlines Terminal 8 Taxilane Project. This project is part of a $13 billion modernization program aimed at transforming the airport into an ultramodern global hub, featuring new and restructured terminals.

The Terminal 8 Taxilane Project involves expanding the existing space by adding a total of 70,000 square feet. Additionally, approximately 60,000 square feet of existing space will be refurbished to meet the project’s objectives. The construction efforts include the development of new amenities, such as premium lounges for both airlines, enhanced baggage systems, check-in areas, and concession spaces.

JOADEM Corporation’s role in the project as a Class 1 agency primarily focuses on Special Inspections and Materials Testing. Concrete sampling and testing, soil and asphalt compaction are significant aspects of our scope of work, with concrete placement exceeding 300 cubic yards per day being tested and sampled. As part of our quality assurance measures, JOADEM Corporation routinely performs lab compressive strength testing on the concrete and soil samples, as required by the project specifications. Additionally, we conduct flexural strength testing of beams to ensure structural integrity. With the ability to provide ample manpower, JOADEM Corporation ensures that the project’s concrete-related testing and sampling requirements are met efficiently.
